Steve was appointed Supply Chain Consultant in 2008, upon earning his Six-Sigma Black Belt. He subsequently received his Master Black Belt certification, and has spent the last 10 years working across DuPont/ Chemours’ Fluoroproducts businesses, with particular emphasis on managing global supply/ demand for highly constrained product lines, designing supply chains for new products, optimizing existing supply chains using Demand-Led Fulfillment principles, and managing system transitions and upgrades to support the business and supply chain teams. He started his career in DuPont Information Systems in 1987, after earning a B.S. in Computer Science from Penn State. His first taste of supply chain came via SAP implementation projects starting in ~1993. Assignments in Mexico City, Geneva, and Asturias Spain, and lots of travel for SAP start-ups, in addition to Global Supply Chain Manager roles in several businesses, have given him an appreciation for the global nature of supply chain, and the importance of information flow in addition to material flow.
In addition to his day job, Steve maintains a small supply chain operation on Heritage Rock Farm, a hobby farm with chickens, pigs, bees, fruit trees and vegetables, outside Kennett Square, PA. He, his wife, and 4 children also actively serve the community with Willowdale Chapel.
